Bhopal Medical Appeal 6
Union Carbide, my God forgive you.
torture me
AIM BLOWTORCH AT MY EYES
POUR ACID DOWN MY THROAT
STRIP THE TISSUE FROM MY LUNGS
DROWN ME IN MY OWN BLOOD
CHOKE MY BABY TO DEATH IN FRONT
OF ME, FORCE ME TO WATCH
HER STRUGGLES AS SHE DIES -
CRIPPLE MY CHILDREN, LET PAIN
BE THEIR DAILY AND ONLY PLAYMATE -
SPARE ME NOTHING
RUIN MY HEALTH SO I CAN NO LONGER
WORK OR FEED MY FAMILY -
WATCH US STARVE - SEE MY CHILDREN
DRINKING WATER AT NIGHT TO FILL
THEIR HUNGRY BELLIES
THEN POISON OUR DRINKING WATER
NEVER WERN US OF THE DANGER
CAUSE MONSTERS TO BE BORN AMONG US
MAKE US CURSE GOD
STUNT OUR LIVING CHILDREN'S GROWTH
SAY IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU
DON'T EVER SAY SORRY
FOR EIGHTEEN LONG YEARS IGNORE AS MY TEARS
PROVE TO ME BEYOUND ALL DOUBT
THERE'S NO JUSTICE IN THE WORLD
YOU ARE AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
AND I AM A WOMEN OF BHOPAL

When our shoe wore out we wrapped leaves round our feet and kept on
THE LONG WALK OF THE BHOPALI WOMEN
We must go to see the Prime Minister.
Where is be?
In Delhi...I think.
How will we get there?
We'll walk.
How far is it?
I don't know.
Which way is it?
Don't know.
How long will it take get there
Don't know.
Ok, lets go.
We just started walking. Our food soon ran out.
People were kind to us, they gave us milk and places to sleep.
They'd ask, where are you going? When they heard our story they said, we wish we could come with you. And some did.
Sometimes night cought us far from anywhere. We slept in jungles, at dawn when we woke up we would see scorpions and snakes lying crushed on the road near where we were lying.
We were warned that the bandits would kill us but the bandits sent word that they wouldn't harm us.
When he reased Delhi, we began asking people the way to the Prime Minister's bouse.
They laughed at us and said, 'Do you foolish women really think the Prime Minister of India has time for people like you?

The street is your home
Hogar Padre Venard, a center for homeless people, had seen a decrease in volunteer participation. Volunteers donate their time to assist on the daily services offered in the center, thus making their participation an integral part of the operation.
The Solution
Turn the street into a home by bringing an element tipically seen at the entrance of a residence; a welcom mat. An actual welcome mat has printed with the massage "Welcome to the harsh reality of those who call the street their home" and places where homeless people were doing things associated with house living, such as eating and sleeping.
The Results
Not only was a marked increase in volunteer participation reported, but monetary and clothing donations also rose.

Don't cross
United way is like a barrier. It keeps bad things away from good people. Like Tommy. When he was homeless and sick, all he got was rejection. But then he found United Way. Today he's healthy and a chef at one of the finest restaurants in Greenville County. Your gift could help someone just like him.
Because it happens here, it matters here.
United way is like a barrier. It keeps bad things away from good people. Like William. Thanks to United Way, he stays away from drugs. Give and you'll help other teens in Greenville County do the same.

United way is like a barrier. It keeps bad things away from good people. Like Heidi. She's not teased for her autism. Because Heidi can speak just fine, thanks to a speech-therapy program funded by United Way of Greenville County. Your gift could help someone just like her.
Because it happens here, it matters here.
United Way is like a barrier. It keeps bad things away from good people. Like Zandra. She doesn’t listen to the naysayers anymore. Because United Way helped her see her true potential. Today she’s an attorney. Give and you’ll help other underprivileged kids in Greenville County achieve the same.
Because it happens here, it matters here.
United way is like a barrier. It keeps bad things away from good people. Like children in Greenville County. Thanks to United Way, many of them aren't abused anymore. Give and you'll help those who still are.
Because it happens here, it matters here.

Assasination, destroying forests and kidnapping
Cocaine allows you to dance the night away without getting tired. It also helps finance terrorists who destroy villages and assasinate Columbian civilians.
Cocaine doesn't only destroy people. It destroys a country.
Cocaine helps you stay high the whole night. It also helps finance terrorists who destroy thousands of acres of Columbian rain-forest to plant coca.
